U.K. To Criminalize Porn Simulating Sexual Assault(Rape).

In defense of “rape” fantasies

The Ironically, this amounts to an attack on consent

It will soon be illegal to watch so-called rape porn in the United Kingdom, according to several news reports. Prime Minister David Cameron, who has already launched a massive anti-porn effort, is expected to make possession of such material punishable by up to three years in prison, the argument being that this explicit niche causes real-life harm to women and contributes to a culture of sexual violence.
Here is the thing: We aren’t just talking about images that depict actual rape. We aren’t just talking about videos that depict real-life crimes. The law will reportedly apply equally to videos of actual rape and simulated rape. That is to say: The U.K. will be making it a crime to watch pornographic material in which consenting adult performers enact a fantasy scenario of sexual assault. This could include anything from the lightest of power play and dominance to a staged man-with-a-ski-mask “rape” performed by, again, consenting adults.
In general, the BDSM scene, which deals in power play, is smarter about consent and negotiation than the vanilla world. As feminist writer Zoe Stavri wrote this summer in the Independent, “Within BDSM porn, there is often a short interview between the performers discussing what they would like to do, and what they would not like to do, and how they can signal that they want the scene to stop if need be,” she said. “After the scene has finished, the performers talk about the scene in a debrief.” Consent, communication and boundary-setting! That is the opposite of rape.
What’s more, research shows that rape fantasies are common among women: Roughly four in 10 report having them. One study found that 52 percent of female respondents reported fantasizing about being “overpowered by a man.” This does not mean that four in 10 or 52 percent of women want to be raped; it means that they have enjoyed the thought of being overpowered within the fantasyland of their own brains. That is the contradiction of rape fantasies: They represent a faux-violation, a powerlessness that is paradoxically controlled by the fantasizer.

4-day-old Baby Found In Cupboard

A midwife who left a baby face down in a stationery cupboard has been given a three-year caution order.
Yvonne Musonda-Malata, 35, left the four-day-old in the cupboard during a night shift at Queen's Hospital in Romford, east London, on 18 April 2011.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) found Ms Musonda-Malata had failed to provide appropriate clinical care.
The disciplinary panel imposed a sanction on the midwife after ruling her fitness to practise was impaired.
The hearing had heard the child's mother had a condition that made it important for her to get a good night's sleep and, as a result, the baby had been moved from beside her bed.
The panel heard that Ms Musonda-Malata had placed the child in a cot in the doorway of the cupboard after it became unsettled. She kept the door open but was then called away for 20 minutes.
Nursery nurse Alex Curtis said she had found the baby in the cupboard "lying on its tummy on its own".
Ms Musonda-Malata had denied the charge at the tribunal.
Colleague Christine Onade, who was accused of the same charge of failing to provide appropriate clinical care, was cleared by the NMC.

Amazing! : Fortune Found Floating on River

Police have appealed for information to help trace the owner of hundreds of thousands of pounds in banknotes found floating down a river. A dog walker alerted police to the cash in the South Drove Drain near Spalding town centre, Lincolnshire, on October 25. Officers said a large amount of the money was water damaged but a good quantity was still in good condition. "It isn't every day that an amount of money like this is found and somebody must have information that will help the police trace the lawful owner," said Detective Constable Steve Hull of Spalding CID. "I would be grateful to hear from people who have genuine information to pass on to me." A forensic examination has been carried out on the notes and police have been granted a seizure order by the Magistrates Court to investigate its origin. It is understood the Bank of England will assist in the investigation and final money count. If no owner is found, the money will become the subject of a further court forfeiture order. Anyone with information should contact the Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 154. Police said any claimant must have evidence of ownership. source:skynews

flood kills at least 16 in Sardinia,Italy declares state of emergency

At least 16 people, including a family of four trapped in their ground-floor flat, have died in Sardinia after torrential rains and a cyclone caused rivers to burst their banks. The Italian prime minister, Enrico Letta, described the fatalities as a "national tragedy", and the government declared a state of emergency on the islandafter six months' worth of rain fell within 24 hours. Letta told Italian radio: "At this point, the priority is saving lives and helping those who have been evacuated. Unfortunately, we're talking about a lot of people. The deaths have also risen to a terrible number." The north-east of the island appears to be worst affected, with 13 of the deaths occurring in the Olbia-Tempio province, according to the regional branch of Italy's civil protection agency. Among them was an entire family, believed to be Brazilian, including a mother, father, and two children reportedly aged 16 and 20. The four were found drowned inside their ground-floor flat in the town of Arzachena, the Ansa news agency reported. Also in the north-east, three people were reportedly killed when their car was swept away after the collapse of a bridge. Flood waters in some parts of the island were 3 metres (10ft) high. Speaking on SkyTg24, Sardinia's governor, Ugo Cappellacci, said people were still missing. "The situation is tragic," he said. "The hotels in Olbia are full of people who have had to escape but there are thousands who have damage to their homes." Emergency workers were trying to reach parts of the island that were hit overnight by the downpours and fierce winds of cyclone Cleopatra. Italy's national civil protection chief, Franco Gabrielli, said: "This is a natural calamity. In 24 hours, there was the same amount of rain as usually falls in six months." The mayor of Olbia, Gianni Giovanelli, likened the "apocalyptic" storm to "a real water bomb of huge intensity". Letta said €20m (£16.8m) had been assigned for disaster response measures after the declaration of a state of emergency. "[The state of emergency] enables us to immediately be able to use rules for more rapid interventions and set aside an initial sum for the very first emergencies that occurred during the night," he said. source:theguardian

OMG! Body Found In Well,After Over Two Years

The body of a man found in a well had been tied up and is thought to have been there for about two years, police said on Tuesday. The body was discovered by workmen outside a home in Warlingham, south London, on Friday and was recovered by specialist officers and divers. A postmortem examination at the weekend proved inconclusive and further tests are under way. Police, who have been reviewing missing persons reports, say they still do not know his identity. However, the examination did confirm the man was white and had sustained injuries consistent with his having been assaulted before being put in the well. The Metropolitan police said forensic work at the property was likely to last a month. Detective chief inspector Cliff Lyons, who is leading the investigation, thanked the public for their "positive response" to appeals for information. He said: "This is someone's son and my team owe it to him and his family to find out the truth and bring those who committed this atrocious act to justice." The well where the body was found was partly demolished and water from within the well taken for examination. Forensic work is also continuing at the house and outbuildings at the property. Seven men, aged between 21 and 27, have been arrested and interviewed on suspicion of murder. They have been released on bail until a date in late December. Witnesses or anyone with information has been asked to call the police incident room on 020 8721 4961 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. source:theguardian

SHOCKING: Homeless Man killed a pensioner, Eats Two Of His Organs.

A homeless man has allegedly killed a pensioner before eating two of his organs in a suspected case of cannibalism. The 26-year-old is accused of killing the victim with an iron bar in Nouilhan, a small village in the Hautes-Pyrenees in southern France, broadcaster RTL reported. It is claimed the man, of nearby Tarbes, then set fire to the 90-year-old's body before eating his heart and tongue, according to newspaper Le Parisien. He was arrested after allegedly burning down the pensioner's home and assaulting a tractor driver, RTL said. It comes three years after a prisoner dubbed the French Hannibal Lecter was jailed for 30 years after ripping out his cellmate's lung and eating it. Nicolas Cocaign, whose face is covered in tattoos, said he flew into an "uncontrollable" rage when his victim, Thierry Baudry, gave him a "dirty look". A judge said he would serve at least 20 years behind bars. SOURCE:SKYNEWS

Jilted Woman Runs Over EX-Boyfriend

A woman in New Zealand has been sectioned after allegedly trying to run over a boyfriend who had jilted her. The incident happened in the Hamilton Waikato area of North Island, the area where the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed. A 15-year-old boy heard the couple arguing outside a shop and he heard the victim telling the woman he was going to leave her and "then she ran him over". "The first time we thought it was just an accident but then the second time we knew it wasn't," Kanj Patel was quoted as saying on Liveleak.com. "I was shocked and I was shaking but I had to do something to help him. "He was swearing a bit but we took him a cushion and another person got him a towel for his head and we tried to keep him comfortable." Witnesses said the 44-year-old woman then drove her car over a bank and into the Waikato River. A boy who was swimming in the river with his younger brother heard the car revving before it went over the bank. "It didn't look like she was trying to stop," he said. The woman freed herself from the car as it was sinking. Waikato police were soon on the scene and the woman was brought ashore, with the assistance of a passing kayaker. The man is in hospital recovering from his injuries. source:skynews
